MAY I NEVER BE A GOD UNTO MYSELF!
A LIFE LIVED ACCORDING TO THE DICTATES OF OUR FLESH WILL CAUSE US TO WORSHIP OURSELF AS GOD. GOD SAYS, “THOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME!”
MULTITUDES, MULTITUDES IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION. THE “DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR!” WE HAVE BUT A SHORT TIME TO MAKE OUR DECISION. “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:14).
OUR FLESH IS OF ITSELF CORRUPTED AND UNDER THE CONSTANT TEMPTATION OF THE DESTROYER (SATAN). WE CANNOT LIVE A GODLY LIFE THROUGH OUR FLESH. THE FLESH CANNOT MAKE US “GOOD ENOUGH” TO MEET GOD’S STANDARD. “So He said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God’ (Matthew 19:17). ONLY A “GODLY” LIFE PRODUCED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD WITHIN US WILL MEET GOD’S STANDARD. A GODLY LIFE CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED THROUGH THE REBIRTH OF OUR FLESH BY THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WORKING WITHIN US. CHRIST ALONE IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF GLORY!. OUR CHOICE IN LIFE IS BETWEEN SERVING GOD OR SERVING SELF AND SATAN! THERE ARE NO OTHER CHOICES. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SERVING TWO MASTERS. “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other” (Matthew 6:24).
WE ARE FACING THE CHOICE OF GOD’S GOODNESS OR SATAN’S EVIL IN OUR LIFE. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHO WE SERVE—GOD OR SELF. TO PUT IT ANOTHER WAY, BY OUR CHOICE WE WILL EITHER SERVE “SIN” OR “RIGHTEOUSNESS!” SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE DIVINE FORCES WITH SPIRITUAL POWER TO DESTROY OR BLESS US. THE CHOICE TO FOLLOW SIN OR RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL DETERMINE OUR ETERNAL ABODE. WHICHEVER CHOICE WE MAKE (GOOD OR EVIL) WILL ACTIVATE GOOD OR EVIL IN OUR LIFE. “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?” (Romans 6:16).
THE SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF GOD’S CHILDREN IS SELF-EVIDENT. WE ARE KNOWN TO OTHERS BY THE FRUIT WE BEAR A LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BEAR MUCH IF ANY FRUIT. “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked — I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see” (Revelation 3:15-18).
THE WORD DECLARES THAT THERE THERE ARE TWO GATES, ONE LEADING TO DESTRUCTION AND ONE LEADING INTO ETERNAL LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). SOME MAY THINK THEY CAN HOLD-OFF THEIR ETERNAL DESTINY OF HEAVEN OR HELL BY NOT OPENLY CHOOSING WHOM THEY WILL SERVE (GOD OR THEMSELVES). WE ARE AUTOMATICALLY BORN ON THE PATH OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS AS DESCENDANTS OF ADAM AND EVE. TO ENTER HEAVEN WE MUST BE REBORN THROUGH CHRIST. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS GIVEN TO US BY CHRIST ALONE AND WE MUST ACCEPT CHRIST’S ATONING WORK TO WASH AWAY OUR SINS AND MAKE US A “NEW CREATION. “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (Romans 8:13 -14).
GOD IS CALLING HIS CHILDREN TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST EVIL AND TO BE RIGHTEOUS AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS. HOW ELSE CAN WE BECOME AN EXAMPLE OF CHRIST AND SHOW THE WORLD HIS LIFE? LOVE FOR GOD WILL RE- PRODUCE HIS WORKS. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:15-18).
WE WILL NEVER DOUBT THE REALITY OF CHRIST AND GOD THE FATHER IF WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING IN CHRIST. CHRIST RE-MAKES US INTO HIS IMAGE. EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT AND EVERYTHING THAT PERTAINS TO LIFE AND GODLINESS IS GIVEN TO US BY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:10). CHRIST WILL SHOW US THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE THAT WE ARE CALLED TO FULFILL.
A PROPHECY:
AWAKEN MY PEOPLE AND GIRD UP YOUR LOINS AND PREPARE TO RUN THE RACE FOR THE CROWN I HAVE PEPARED FOR YOU. FLEE THE SELF-LIFE AND MAKE CHRIST AND MY SPIRIT THE SOVEREIGNTY OF YOUR BEING. LISTEN TO MY VOICE AND REMAIN STEDFAST AND UNMOVABLE IN YOUR TIMES OF TESTING. BOW BEFORE ME AND THEN RISE UP IN MY STRENGTH AND YOU WILL FIND SATAN BEFORE YOU AS A DEFEATED FOE. IT IS YOUR FATHER’S GOOD PLEASURE TO GIVE YOU THE KEYS TO HIS KINGDOM. I (CHRIST) SEND YOU FORTH IN MY SPIRIT AND WILL GIVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE NEED OF INTO YOUR HANDS. YEA, MY PEOPLE SHALL DO EXPLOITS. THEY SHALL BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE VICTORIES I WILL GIVE YOU. YOU MUST COME UP HIGHER IN THE LORD YOUR GOD TO POSSESS THE MESSAGE AND POWER FOR THIS HOUR. YOU WILL RULE AS KINGS AND PRIESTS IN MY KINGDOM AND SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS. FROM THE BEGINNING I HAVE BEHELD THIS HOUR. I SAW SATAN FALL LIKE LIGHTENING AND HIS FORCES AND WORKS DESTROYED IN THE LIGHT OF MY COMING. I AM YOUR SOON-COMING KING AND I SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER.
Let us pray: Beloved Father and my Savior, I bow before You. I want to love You more and more. Cleanse and purify me. Make me the saint You have called me to be. Help me to represent You in the beauty of holiness. Teach me to love in Your “perfect” love. Fulfill through me Your will and purposes for my life. May I glorify You always! Help me to reveal You and Your works to the world. Give me victory over all sin. Make me an overcomer who lives for Your glory alone. I love You! Use me in Your kingdom. Help me to destroy the works of Satan. Make my life pleasing to You and may You be glorified through my being. I am forever Yours through Jesus Christ. Amen.
