November 30, 2005 – “BE YE TRANSFORMED!”

This is God’s message to the generations who are gathered together awaiting His appearing and His final work before the millennium.

2 Corinthians 3:15  Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.  16  But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  17  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  18  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The end of the age is upon us and I believe that God is going to do even greater miracles than He did in the day of the apostles. God is going to fulfill the words of the prophet Joel to show the world that our “all powerful” God is making another great move in the affairs of mankind to herald His coming to set up His kingdom. Be ye transformed from “sinners saved by grace” to “saints called of God to finish His work” for the time is upon us when we must be prepared to live extraordinary lives attended by signs and wonders. We will be God’s instrument to reveal His holiness and power.

~The Promise of the Spirit  Joel 2:28  “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.  29  Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.  ~The Day of the LORD  30  I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.  31  The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.  32  And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on MountZion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.  Joel speaks about a time when God himself is going to pour forth His power upon people of every age group and circumstance and they are going to show the world the only one who is all powerful, the creator, and God of all we survey.  The Spirit is saying He alone is to be adored and worshipped and the world will hear from the mouth of God’s children the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and power in the name of Jesus.  1 Corinthians 1:21  For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 1 Corinthians 2:4  My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,  5  so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. God has a set time for doing everything, which is on His blueprint for our destiny.

From approximately 1964 until 1975, I was called to be in a mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit in Bakersfield.  It was awesome! We watched God bring a mighty work out of seemingly nothing.  There were thousands of lives transformed and endued with power from on high.  All we had to do was be obedient and prayed up, looking to God for our orders. Since that time, those of us who participated in that outpouring have longed for the greater outpouring spoken about by the prophet Joel. As I wrote above, I believe I am seeing the beginning of the outpouring that will usher in Christ’s appearing.

Our hearts and minds must be prepared to handle the purity and power of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit as they bring transformation to this generation.  God will not put His power in a disobedient and sinful vessel. ~Dedicated Service  Romans 12:1  Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, Holy and pleasing to God – this is your Spiritual act of worship.  2  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.  If we want our lives to be radically changed and used by God, we must offer our lives as living sacrifices unto God.  When we surrender to God, we choose total obedience to him instead of “self will.”

When we willingly and lovingly give ourselves to God for His glory, God will not only transform us, but all of our ways are His to command. Blessings we did not possess begin to appear and we realize we are seeing the fullness of God’s power up-close and in action; it touches our lives and leaves behind a lasting experience of the presence of God.

One night, my husband and I attended a dinner given by a young couple. After dinner, the host asked us to play a game.  He said we must each name the person we would most like to be, in the whole world, and explain why.  I considered everyone I could think of and concluded that I would rather be myself than anyone else because of the presence of God in my life.  I have experienced the love and goodness of God and many, many miracles.  Jesus never failed me, never left me, and His Spirit indwells me. I would not trade my knowledge and experiences with God for anything this world could offer.
Are you dissatisfied with who you are?  Do you know where you will spend eternity?  My dear friends, Christ is where all the good and perfect gifts are located.  Christ gives us an abundant life and He sends His Holy Spirit to indwell us so that we do not get off track. He will keep us until the coming of Jesus Christ and for all eternity.  Give yourself to Jesus as a living sacrifice.  Be willing to put to death the old habits and nature and ask God to give you a new nature created in Christ Jesus to conform to His image.  Ask Christ to fill your being with His presence. Romans 8:29  For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

I pray that the Holy Spirit is revealing to you your own spiritual condition and creating in you a desire to live a life that is close to Him and a life that is in His service.  May God richly bless you and reveal His will for your life.

Colossians 1:27  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
