A SEPARATED PEOPLE!

In today’s society “Go with the flow” is the rule of the day. Two mornings ago, I was awakened by God and told to, “Pray! Pray! Pray until the yoke of bondage is broken off this people.”  The Lord’s word is always truth and so I went before Him in prayer to receive the knowledge of what God sees and is saying to us. Everything God says is for our good and salvation.  His words flow from a heart of love and goodness.  He is not willing that any should perish! He is saying that a yoke of bondage exists and is very powerful. That yoke has brought about deception, spiritual blindness, destruction, lies, and an eternal separation from God. “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes and understand with their heart, lest they should turn, so that I should heal them” (John 12:40).

In this hour in which we live, whole nations have been swept into forms of ruler ship that take away the individual power to “choose.” Instead of believing that God knows best, they trust that government “knows best.” The source of their lives are placed in the hands of the flesh instead of the Spirit of God. There is a massive move to let someone else choose for us everything that pertains to life and Godliness. The common thread is the captivity of the mind and soul to a godless system.  God speaks about this.Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).

This force is supernatural and is part of satan’s war on God and His people. Satan is the prince and power of the air and he tries to tempt us all to sin against God. He is placing in bondage those who do not believe in Jesus Christ as the “way, the truth, and the life.” In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2).

The Lord tells us exactly how we as individuals can escape this satanic force of bondage.  “Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18). The “Message Bible” speaks clearly upon this scripture.  I quote, “Don’t become partners with those who reject God.  How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong?  That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is “light” best friends with “dark?” Does Christ go strolling with the devil? Do “trust” and “mistrust” hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives.”

If we are born again of God’s Spirit, then we are children of God.  It is time for us to show the world who we are and the power of Godliness within us.  We are a peculiar people.  We walk not by the feelings and instincts of the flesh, but we walk through the holiness of the Spirit of God. We can do exploits through the will and power of God within us.  Those exploits show forth the reality and truth of God.  God will only give us greater works through our desire to walk on higher ground with God, and to give our lives to one goal—glorifying God and being a light to the world.

If we dwell in Christ we are a new creation, created in the image of God. Old things and ways have passed away.  We are called to present Christ to the world.  Our message to the world is: “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Through Christ and the Holy Spirit our weapons are not of the flesh, but mighty through God. Our God has given us power over all the powers of the enemy and the authority to bring down strongholds. We have the the power to bring down the “yoke of bondage” about which our God has told us to pray. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

Let us pray:  We are “one” with You in Your Spirit and might.  We bow before You and we ask You to save our people from all bondage. Break the yoke satan has placed upon us because we have failed to separate ourselves from the world.  We choose to abide in You dear Father.  Forgive our sins against You.  Let us not be stubborn and hard-hearted, but pliable in Your hands. Through Your power and word we believe Your promises never fail.  You promised to dwell in us and walk among us.  You said You will be our God and we shall be Your people. (2 Cor 6:16).

We claim authority and victory over the chains that bind us to satan’s lies and deceit and we “command them to loose this people!”  Rain down from heaven Your power, and break all bondage to satan’s godless ways and thoughts.  Let us no longer walk with the crowd on the “broad-way,” but we choose to walk with You on the “narrow way” that leads to life eternal.  We will separate our thinking and desires from the world and walk with You, precious Lord. Anoint our eyes that we may see truth and understand the deceit of the world. We will lay aside the world system, and choose the “kingdom of God” to reign and rule over us.

Lord, we claim all of the people You have chosen to “call” into Your kingdom.  Break the yoke of sin upon us!!! Give us a spirit of truth and understanding of all the deceit and lies around us.  Praise Your wondrous name! We separate ourselves from the nature of the world unto Your ways and thoughts. Bring forth a mighty revelation of Your presence and the essence of Your being throughout the world.  May the world be renewed through Your Spirit of reconciliation and love. May we know the truth that we might be set free! Thank You, for the work You are going to do in this world in setting us free from sin.  Amen.  Anita
